More information has come to light concerning the person knocked down and killed on the N-340 where it passes through Salobreña.

The victim was a retired Guardia Civil officer from Jaén and it appears that he was on a pushbike; not walking.

The driver who knocked him down, a 44-year-old woman and then who fled the scene of the accident, appeared before a magistrate yesterday, to be informed of the charges againsst her and a pending court appearance.
