A woman has been arrested, suspected of having carried out a hit and run incident that resulted in the death of the pedestrian on the N-340 as reported yesterday.

The 44-year-old woman allegedly fled the scene of the accident, which means that she could face charges of grave negligent homicide and of having abandoned the scene of an accident.

The 64-year-old victim was from Colomera, according to the Guardia Civil. He was first reported as having been 59-years old, although the Guardia Civil later rectified this mistake.
