On the port roundabout, where the Montero wine barrels are, a middle-aged man came off his motor scooter.

The fire service was there, as were the Policía Local, which is not  surprising as it is mere metres away from their new police station.

I asked the officer what had happened and he said that the man, who was lying in a recovery position although he was conscious, he came off his bike and that no other vehicle was involved.

Unfortunately, as he was not wearing a full-face crash-helmet, he had smashed his chin on the road and there was a little blood next to him.

I had approached the officer at 12.38h and he had told me that the accident had happened about five to ten minutes earlier. I saw the ambulance arriving at 12.42h.

With probably a fractured jaw, he was in no condition to answer any questions as to who he was or how it had happened, to the police.
