The Mayor of Motril, Luisa García Chamorro, visited the renovation work on Plaza de La Tenería, which is the one in front of the Municipal Market.

Praising the Junta, headed by her own party for spending money on Motril, she criticised the Junta under the socialist in 2014, who “put at the back of the drawer the plans for the square.”

Editorial comment: strangely, she didn’t mention how the Town Hall under her party had squandered money on the paellera roundabout which eventually had to be changed as it was so badly designed, nor did she mention how corruption in the PP on a nationwide level allegedly reached the work on the Avenida de Salobreña, (Caso Gürtel), so perhaps she should just keep to talking about the job in hand instead of handing out criticism.
