A 42-year-old man choked to death on a piece of meat at a BBQ/picnic area near Málaga.

The incident took place on the 23rd of September at eight in the evening within the recreational area (see photo) known as the Peñón del Cuervo.

Even though there was an off-duty, medical orderly already in the area and the police soon arrived and between them they were able to reestablish the victim’s pulse before the ambulance arrived, he died the next day at the Hospital Regional.

There was another recent case of somebody choking to death, only three days before this incident, involving a 78-year-old man, who also choked to death on a piece of meat in a bar in Madrid.
