The carcass of a cow was washed up onto Playa de Chilches in a Vélez-Málaga on Friday the 29th of last month..
Everybody, including the cow, was surprised at its presence there, so calls were made and the Guardia Civil and Policía Local soon arrived to check it out.
The Guardia Civil has already begun an investigation into where it came from.
Fortunately, the cow had an identification tag on its ear, which will help their investigation no end.
The state of the carcass indicates that it had not long been dead – a question of hours before it was found on the beach.

The cow, more than likely, was poorly and not going to make a sea voyage, so they dumped her overboard to save on the feed. She could have been washed overboard, but they don’t keep them on deck, so… for whatever reason, she was heaved over the side, poor sod.
Geez Liz. That’s a big assumption. Bit like saying is there only one god? Or, of course you’re my first! Maybe it just fell off a cliff or aliens dropped it off?
