Lot's of lovely rain! Who could complain? Well, somebody who should have known better but had driven up a dry watercourse, of course.
This was the case in a rambla in Albuñol. Locals joined Guardia Civil officers, using ropes to rescue the occupants of a car who had been caught out by a rush of flood water, mud and debris coming down the hitherto dry watercourse.
The incident occurred more or less under the N-340 bridge over the rambla. Fortunately, despite the complete lack of common sense on the part of the driver, nobody was hurt.
The small wall of water coming down the rambla was the result of 65 litres per square metre that fell in the space of one hour.
