As of last Friday, the 1st of September, the Blue Zones on the seafront paseos both in Almuñécar and La Herradura were deactivated.

The Blue Zones include: Paseo Puerta del Mar and Paseo Velilla, behind Playa Tesorillo and Playa El Pozuelo, Avenida Adolfo Suárez (Galera Playa – Taramay), Plaza de Abderramán, Paseo de Las Flores, Paseo San Cristóbal, Paseo Rincón de la China and Paseo de Cotobro as far as Edifício Los Ramos.

The Blue Zone area, known as Área Ocho has also been deactivated, which extends along Avenida Mar de Plata, Calle Pirámide and Avenida Amelia Sánchez de Alcázar.

As for La Herradura, Paseo Andrés Segovia, from the Mercado Municipal As far as Calle Álamo and Calle Gonzalo Barbero will no longer be after your shekels.

All the above Blue Zones are actually coloured blue and yellow, to distinguish them from the ones that are active all year round in the commercial areas, which are marked only by blue lines.
