The Guardia Civil arrested a couple in Almuñécar who they caught selling cocaine; i.e., drug peddling.

The 36-year-old man and 37-year-old woman were apprehended in a nightlife area of Almuñécar in the early hours of last Sunday.

The Guardia Civil post had received a tip-off, reporting two individuals, a man and woman, pushing cocaine in the area of Los Bajos del Altillo.

A patrol was rapidly despatched to the area to begin tracking down the suspects, whom they soon came across, thanks to the descriptions given.

Between them they were found to have 19, one-gramme doses on them, as well as a large amount of cash, so they were immediately arrested and held in police cells until appearing before a magistrate in Almuñécar. They were released pending trial.
