Motril Town Hall announced that several open spaces of land near the beaches are prepared for use as summer parking.

In fact, most were ready for the Airshow on the 19th of last month.

Each year the number of parking space is increased: in 2019 there were an extra 1,500; In 2020 there were 1,880 despite Covid; in 2021 there were 2,500. This year there will be around 3,000.

The summer parking areas are distributed between three parking areas: next to Restaurante Katena, and Bar Natalio, on Playa de Poniente and in the Punta del Santo area on Playa Granada.

Each year there is a struggle with Costas, which goes all out to limit parking anywhere near the beaches, especially on Playa de Poniente.
