A member of the Salobreña Town Council belonging to the Mayor’s party has tested positive, consequently, the necessary protocol has been activated.
All those that have had close contact with the Councillor for Lobres, Nelson Ligero, including the Mayor, María Eugenia Rufino, will have to be confined, pending PCRs. Even if they return a negative reading, they will have to remain in quarantine.
Over this weekend the town-hall building will be thoroughly desinfected.
“I offer our full support, in the name of the Town Council, to Councillor Nelson Ligero and hope for his speedy and complete recovery,” said the Mayor from confinement at home, adding, “those of us who find ourselves in this situation will be working from home.”
