For the first time, Almuñécar will be putting on a Jazz festival in the autumn, which will be held from the 9th to the 11th of this month.

The venue will be the Casa de la Cultura and all the concerts will begin at 21.00h. The Jazz musicians enjoy both national and in some cases European fame.

The first name on the billboard is the trio, Puro Gershwin, headed by Jazz singer, Sheila Blanco, accompanied by Federico Lechnner on the Piano and one of the best Jazz guitarists on a national level, Chema Saiz.

Then on Saturday the Moisés P. Sánchez Quintet, who are considered as one of the best formations on the European Jazz scene.

Then on the closing night, Sunday, the Antonio Lizana Trío, who are leading figures in the Flamenco Jazz style from the South of Spain, will perform.

Entrance tickets for the I Festival Jazz en Otoño de Almuñécar can be obtained via internet at www.bravoentradas.es or at the Casa de la Cultura, or at Viajes Ecuador in Almuñécar on the corner of the Paseo del Altillo. You can also obtain them at the door on the night one hour before the performance. The price for the 3-day pass is 20 euros.
