The gale that has been blowing for two days has caused a yacht to be swept up onto the beach in front of Vélez-Málaga.

Temporal Alex, which has affected most of the country after sweeping in front the Atlantic and cross the peninsular, has caused high waves and strong surf all along the coast.

Fortunately, the two people onboard on the beached yacht on a Benajarafe beach were rescued and were not hurt.

The emergency number 112 had received a call and quicly called out the Guardia Civil, the Policía Local and an ambulance, as well as the sea-rescue service Salvamento Marítimo.
