The medical centres on the Costa Tropical will receive extra staff to help cope with the massive influx of summer residents.
Accordingly, Almuñécar, Salobreña, Torrenueva, La Mamola, Calahonda, Castell de Ferro and La Herradura will receive 22 medical personnel between them.
The Junta has hired over 20,000 workers for the summer period to cover those medical personnel that will be taking their summer holidays, as well as the extra manpower needed for the enlarged populations along the coast. Of that figure, 2,848 will be allotted to the Province of Granada with its 25 medical centres and 25 A&Es and many village doctor’s surgeries.
Each work contract will last two and a half months.
