The nudist beach, Playa Cantarriján in La Herradura, reopens along with all the other beaches today, but this year sporting a noticeboard declaring it an official one.
The Chairman of this naturalist association, Pedro Pérez, thanks the Town Hall for this official recognition as a nudist beach rather than just a beach which naturalists prefer. In other words, it’s a naturalist beach where clothed bathers are permitted, rather than vice versa.
.Furthermore, the Town Council is tweaking its budget to see if they can find the funds to put an elevated, lifeguard lookout post on the beach. We’re also talking about the beach having its own lifeguard presence, of course.
The shuttle-bus service will commence at the end of June.
The Chairman concluded, “Perhaps this year we will have to wear masks, but at least we don’t have to wear swimming trunks.
