Aquatropic Reopens Soon

ALM Aqua Tropical OpensThis year Almuñécar’s water park opens its gates on the 27th of this month, despite the long months of the Lock Down preventing maintenance and preparation work.

Things will be different this year as there will be health restrictions in place. In fact, working with water parks across Spain they have come up with a suitable protocol for the season.

Aquatropic is in a class of its own because it uses seawater to feed the attractions but even so this water will have chlorine added: according to the W.H.O. the use of chlorine together with seawater provides a barrier to prevent the propagation of Covid-19.

As for the rest of the park, entrance tickets can be purchased via their webpage In fact, this is the recommended form of purchasing tickets. However, there will be a functioning ticket office at the gate where safety measures will be enforced.

The total amount of visitors is also reduced and the renovated toilets and changing rooms will be regulated. The dining area has tripled in size so that all visitors will have room to sit whilst maintaining their distances, as stipulated by the Health Ministry.
