There was a traffic accident in Motril yesterday resulting in a biker being knocked off his bike on the main roundabout next to the church.
The accident took place around 19.05h and the police were there within three minutes as they had been nearby.
The young man was dragged by the car, along with his bike, from the roundabout as far as the entrance for Calle Narciso González Cervera; i.e., the one that leads to the underground parking in the Plaza de la Tranvía. In other words, a distance of around five metres.
Fortunately, the biker was only slightly injured and was treated at Hospital Santa Ana.
The bike was damaged all down one side whereas the white car that hit him, driven by a 40-year-old man, was left virtually unscathed. luckily, the other vehicles using the roundabout at the time reacted in time to avoid a worse outcome for the biker.
