Granada now has another shopping centre, Granaita, thanks to a merger between Kinépolis and the Centro Comercial Alameda.
The developer, Castellana Properties bought the multi-cinema complex Kinépolis and the Centro Comercial Alameda ploughing 5-million euros into the now combined 130,000 sq/m shopping centre, making it the largest in the province.
Castellana Properties CEO, Alfonso Brunet said that the renovation work carried out on Kinépolis and the planting of over 250 trees on the combined plot is part of the strategy of revitalising the northern part of the city
The location of Granaita (Pulianas) is well placed for the inhabitants of Alfacar, Albolote, Pulianas and Maracena, and not just for residents of the northern districts of the city of Granada.
The new shopping centre will contain around 80 businesses, including fast-food restaurants McDonald’s, Burger King, KFC, Muerde la Pasta, Foster Hollywood, amongst others.
There are plenty of leisure activities on offer there too, such as the 15 separate projection salas belonging to Kinépolis. There are bowling alleys (Ozone Bowling) and an iceskating rink (Granada Ice Arena) open 365 days a year.
There are three supermarkets, Carrefour, Mercadona and Lidl, and interior decoration outlets such as Akí, Bricodepot, Conforama, Maisons du Monde and Espacio Casa.
