The Andalucista party in Salobreña has plans for the old sugar factory in La Caleta, explained its spokesperson, Juan Antonio Collado.
They are so pleased with the idea that they are going to propose at the next Plenary Meeting of the Town Council that additional funds from the SUT-1 be earmarked for the doing up of the old sugar factory so that it can be converted into an industrial museum.
The party spokesman pointed out that this factory (Azucarera Guadalfeo) was the last sugar factory in Europe to go and that this heritage should not be wasted and that the Town Hall should squeeze the last drop out of this heritage facet to turn it into a tourist attraction.

I wonder if they are thinking of static displays with long paragraphs of dull text, or something like the Beamish open air museum? I fear the former.
