Three people, aged 19, 52 and 72, were hospitalised, suffering from smoke inhalation as a result of a fire in their apartment block in Motril.
The emergency-service number, 112 received messages on their facebook page at 21.14h, Thursday the 8th, from residents in several flats in the building to say that there was smoke coming out of a 4th-floor property.
The fire service soon arrived and were able to put out the fire and pull out the three injured ocupants, two of whom were taken directly to Hospital Santa Ana whilst the third (the eldest) victim was treated on the spot before being taken to hospital.
First reports indicate that the fire started in a fuse box in the entrance hall to the flat.
The exact location of the fire; i.e., on which street it occurred, was not made known.
