The Motril municipal police received a call at 19.00h, Sunday the 14th to say that somebody was driving erratically putting other road users in danger.

They soon located the car and flagged it down. The 43-year-old driver was driving under the influence of alcohol, well over the limit.

Perhaps that wasn’t a surprised given the way he was driving but what was a surprise was to discover who his female passenger was; the driver had a court order out on him, forbidding him from approaching her because of instances of domestic violence.

They immediately arrested him.
