Salobreña Supermarket Break-in

The Guardia Civil in Salobreña caught a thief shortly after he broke into a supermarket to steal the till.

The 29-year-old man, who answers to the initials of J.M.V.G., had forced entry into the supermarket at 02.50h, causing such a noise that several residents in the same block had phoned the police.

The police arrived in time to find the man exiting the shop with the till under his arm – not much point using “allegedly” at this point.

He had also managed to cut himself, causing profuse bleeding, when he beat a hole the reinforced glass of the shop front with a sledgehammer to gain access, bless him.
