A priest in Galicia in the North East of Spain forgave two burglars after they broke into his house, but he was still sorely disappointed in them.

Yes, he was disappointed because they had used the money they stole from him to spend at a local whorehouse.

The incident, which happened in 2013, has just come to court and the priest was called to give evidence.

He praised the thieves for their good manners and the polite way they treated him – one even bid him farewell with a kiss on the forehead – during the robbery, but he also reproached them  before the judge because they had lied when they explained to him that they needed the money for their families…

Instead all three of them had had a wild night out at a local brothel, as he later discovered, when he received a statement for his stolen credit card.
