There’s a very odd YouTube video doing the rounds on facebook at the moment that has many residents of La Herradura/Almuñécar scratching their heads.

The actors sitting at a table in the Marina are using American money, so it’s not a case of a misnamed location – it’s deliberate.

We’ve put our heads together at the Gazette and come up with the only plausible explanation that the person being interviewed lives around here, otherwise why shoot a false location in Spain if you are going to go to Fort Bragg, California, anyway, to interview him – shoot it in its true location.

Here is a photo of the marina at the real Fort Bragg. One thing seems certain, the bigwigs of National Geographic back in the USA probably didn’t know about the false location…

Finally, if it is a hoax and has nothing to do with them, what really is the point of such an elaborate set up just for a hoax video?
