A La Herradura Street Party

LHR Calle Bermudas OnLThere doesn’t seem to be a lot to celebrate nowadays, but the residents of Calle Bermudas in La Herradura had a party.

The residents of this street, which is next to the castle or fort, are very happy with the outcome of the roadworks so they got the table out onto the new tarmac on Sunday the 23rd and had a street party.

The First Councillor, Juan José Ruiz Joya, was invited, as were other employees of the Town Hall who had carried out the work.

The said work consisted of sorting out the underground pipework for the rain drains and for the sewage. The pavement was sorted out and the street lighting, too, and it was all topped off with a new layer of tarmac on the surface.

How much? 50,000 euros.

So, it should be a ‘good bye’ to the habitual accumulation of surface rainwater… otherwise, there will be another party… a lynching party.
