Residents on the Costa Tropical often complain that visitors from Granada manage to spend time down here without spending money, as they bring what they need down with them… Well, one Sanitex (nickname for a Granada tourist) certainly didn’t spend anything, because she left without paying a hotel bill in Torrenueva.

The woman, accompanied by her sister and her sister’s child, spent a week in the hotel; from the 6th of July 2008 to the 14th, using the hotel facilities such as mini-bar, and then just disappeared into the sunset… until, that was, a Motril judge found her guilty of fraud, ordering her to pay 822 euros in compensation to the hotel.
