A 40-year-old pedestrian was run over by a lorry on the N-340 in front of Salobreña a few minutes before midnight, last night.

Owing to the very recent nature of this accident, there is no more information available, other than it would appear that the pedestrian might have caused the accident.

The man did not die immediately, but shortly afterwards at Hospital Santa Ana, in the early hours of today.
