RIP Kleyo

AND KleyoIt wasn’t the first time that Kleyo had bungee jumped from el Puente de Tablate; she had already made one jump that same morning. However, the decision to do it again proved fatal.

According to the Guardia Civil – who are still not giving out much information whilst the investigation continues – the length of the cord should never have been an amount that would leave her level with the other bridge; it should have been shorter. They say that it was either too long or had too much elasticity.

The company, based in Huétor Vega, who were in control of the jump, denied that there was human error involved but doesn’t want to make further comments until the police have finished their investigation.

The company is registered with the Junta de Andalucia.

Obviously, they are emotionally affected too, as it is the first time that they have experienced a fatal accident during the years that they have operated.

On a personal note, perhaps it is best to remember that high-risk sports, for all the safety precautions taken, are precisely that: high risk, because there will always be an element of bad luck on the horizon. However, they will always be so popular because of the adrenalin rush.
