Herds of kids enjoyed a day on the beach with a difference, thanks to the Aula del Mar del Museo Alborania from Málaga, who provide beach workshops with all kinds of interesting things.

The children, all decked out in yellow T-shirts and baseball caps had the chance to discover lots of interesting things about what happens below the surface of the sea; marine life and its importance.

The workshops were set up on Puerta del Mar and were sponsored by Unicaja through its social-works programme. The Environment Department of the Town Hall were also involved, of course.

Anything that improves the generation of tomorrow’s awareness of the importance of the natural world that surrounds us is obviously a great idea, because God knows our generation hasn’t exactly earned Smarty points as far as the environment goes, has it?
