Sunday Hike to Vélez Benaudalla

The Almuñécar hikers’ group is off on a 6-hour jaunt between Pinos del Valle, Ízbor, Los Acebuches and Vélez Benaudalla this Sunday, the 5th of May. This is just one of a series of walks run by Senderismo del Patronato Municipal de Deportes (PMD).

What’s Going On with the A7?

Fox Guarding The Hens?

Builders Exploited?

The IU (left-wing political formation) have denounced that builders working on the new junior school in Vélez Benaudalla are being exploited by the building company. Workers on the building site are being made to work 15-hour days, the IU claims.

Funds for The N-340

Anybody that has driven along the N-340 where it passes between La Herradura and the eastern entrance into Motril would be well aware of the state of the main road and grateful that funds have been allotted to make it both smoother and safer.

Energetic Velez Benaudalla

The Delegate for the Environment, Francisco Tarifa, had visited the rubbish processing plant in Velez Benaudalla, where he announced that the installations would generate enough electricity to supply 4,500 homes.
