The walk on November 28th will be in the Vélez de Benaudalla area with some good views of the sierras. The whole walk should take from 2 – 3 hours and is on country paths.
Whilst the walk is not steep or difficult, if a member has problems walking up a gentle slope this walk will not be for them.
There is a pond along the way which is a good place to stop for your drink and sandwich or whatever snack you choose to bring – this area is usually where the goats are herded and are a delight to watch.
Wear any shoes which you can walk well in.
I suggest we meet at the Cafe Alhambra along the main road of Vélez at 10.00h – there is parking near by. If you want a coffee come a bit earlier so we can leave as near to 10:00h as we can. There are many cafes and restaurants in the area if people want to eat at after the walk.
Plan B: if it rains heavily those that don’t fancy a walk at all could have a social at the Hotel Salobreña or in the Cafe Alhambra. If it isn’t raining a lot then those that are happy walking in a sprinkle can meet at the cafe in Vélez as arranged at 10 am. I will be there.
Please put these on the notice so people can contact me. I would like to have an idea how many are coming if possible.
Diana
