Almuñécar Bank Robbers Rumbled

The Guardia Civil has managed to identify the two suspects from the bank robbery that was carried out in Almuñécar on the 19th of April. One of the suspects, a 24-year-old from Málaga, has already been arrested.

Motril Man in Sexual Abuse Case

The man faces three charges of sexual abuse and one of indecent exposure. There is also a request for compensation of 15,000 euros in total for the moral damage allegedly caused to the two applicants. However, the defense has asked for all charges to be thrown out as they believe there is no evidence to support any of the charges.

Teacher Basher Released

Estefana C.F. has been released from prison on parole after serving five months of her 3-year prison sentence for striking a female school teacher. The 24-year-old mother from Fuente Vaquero in central Granada was the first woman in Spain to be sent to prison for physically assaulting a school teacher.

Prison for Pizza Robber

A court in Motril (Granada) has sentenced a resident of Almunecar to five and a half years in prison, for injuries caused to a pizza-delivery man, whom he had hit with a motorcycle helmet in the street to steal the money he had.

Another incident involving violence and crime concerns a 43-year-old man from the town, who was already being sought by the police over outstanding judicial proceedings from 2007, and who has since been arrested and remanded in custody at the provincial prison of Albolote.

Lynching an Arsonist

A group of inmates at the Granada provincial prison in Albolote tried to lynch a fellow inmate who was accused of starting a fire in the prison. Only the rapid intervention of the prison guards managed to save the victim, who is Moroccan.

The Motril law courts have sentenced a driver to one year’s imprisonment for jumping a red light and by so doing, causing an accident. For once, it wasn’t some idiot on a moped, causing an accident involving a car, but vice versa.
