Motril Austerity Measures

The Motril Town Hall is set to cut 8,000,000 euros from its budget in order not to raise municipal taxes or be forced to axe jobs, the Vice-Mayor/Councillor for the Economy, José García Fuentes, explained.

Not Just A Roundabout…

Motril has finished sprucing up its biggest traffic roundabout, which is the one under the N-340, where the port road runs. Rojas Rises

The Mayor of Motril, Carlos Rojas, has resigned from the mayoralty to take up a post in the regional parliament. He had hoped to be able to hold onto both posts, but a new law prevents politicians from doing that – as is only logical.
