Thanks, Trump!

The illegal, US-Israeli war against Iran is pushing up prices, but you'd never guess where.. condoms!

The world’s biggest producer of condoms, Karex, which supplies major brands like Durex, has warned that prices could rise by around 30% due to the conflict.

Now this report came from the Guardian, which some might consider slightly on the left-wefty side but even so, this is just further indication that Trump’s ridiculous war is hitting us below the belt.

Apparently, the Malaysia-based company plans to raise prices, “if supply chain disruptions are prolonged due to the war with Iran,” according to Karex, CEO, Goh Miah Kiat.

All we talk about is the price of oil at the pump but Trump has managed to completely disrupt other commodities, such as synthetic rubber and nitrile used in manufacturing to packaging materials and lubricants, as well as aluminum foil and silicone oil.

Not only is there a shortage of supply, but there is also a greater demand for condoms, which has grown by 30% this year. Yes, so prices could go up 30% and demand has risen by 30%.

Karex produces more than 5-billion condoms annually and amongst their customers are the UK’s National Health Service (NHS) and global, aid programmes managed by the United Nations.

Is nothing sacred!

Do you really think that Trump gives a crap about Iranian civilians being massacred, after threatening to erase the whole Iranian civilisation? Do you think that Trump or Biden gave a crap about over 70,000 Gazans slaughtered by the IDF; men, women, children and babies? That figure is probably too conservative as there is no idea how many bodies are buried under the rubble.

What I personally find fascinating is that the same justification used for the 2003 Iraq Invasion is being reused now over Iran. I ran a poll, interviewing foreign residents on the streets back in 2003 about whether they thought the war was justified and your comment here, fits in perfectly as if 23 years hadn’t passed.

The fact that Iran, or Persia as it was at the beginning of the 20th Century, has been repeatedly screwed over by the west because of its oil seems to flutter by, undetected, by Trump apologists. Nobody remembers that Iran had a democratic government in 1953 when Britain convinced the Yanks to carry out a coup and overthrow the government in order to install a puppet dictator, equipped with a sadistic secret police trained by the CIA.

When the Iranians finally had enough and the revolution came about, the Shah fled to the States where he was given ‘temporary’ sanctuary. The States refused to hand him over so the Iranians took hostages and demanded a swap, but Americans only remember the embassy hostages, not why they were taken. Washington didn’t make the same mistake with Saddam Hussein, did they?

So, here we are, and the Reform acolytes or the individual European equivalents and not to mention those so derranged by Trump that they still defend him, accuse Nato members of not having a backbone just because they are pretty pissed off with being shat on by Trump with whimsical sanctions and threats to invade Greenland.

I’m ex-forces and I agree with Trump that the Europeans were not doing enough for their own defence, especially as it now not only faces Russian and China, but also the USA.

As for the Iranian people? The Ayatollahs are as bad as the Saudis, but the Iranians don’t need anybody’s help to overthrow a dictator’s regime; they’ve already done it once, but let’s see if we keep our hands off them when the do, eh? 😉

Hmmmm, speaking personally, if our government had killed between 6,488 people to upwards of ~36,500 protesting people ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2026_Iran_massacres) I would be rather glad someone had the backbone to step in and help, rather than the “left-wefty” European governments who would doubtless rather spend years forming committees to discuss how they could appear to be taking action without actually doing anything , however I’m sure if president Trump had known it was going to increase the price of condoms he would have saved the American taxpayer billions of dollars and played a round of golf instead…… there you go a tongue in cheek comment based on the ethos of the Seaside Gazette, (rather than your rather head in the sand article? )
