Video Clip shot on Nerja Beaches

The municipality of Nerja was chosen as the setting for a musical video clip, as well as a photographic report during the last week of April. The photographic report was shot on beaches, Las Alberquillas, El Pino and El Cañuelo., whilst El Cañuelo was also the setting of the musical video clip.

Provincial Tourist Office for Nerja

The Costa del Sol Tourist Board has chosen Nerja as the site for its first and new office, which is situated in Calle Carmen, next to the Balcón de Europa. The main objective of the office will be to promote Axarquía via its ‘on-line’ and ‘Contact Centre.’

Defiant Mother

The Municipal Police of Málaga arrested J.A.l.R. who had moments before wrestled a toddler from its mother’s arms. The 35-year-old man was more interested in his victim’s small backpack, but literally holding the baby for ransom until she handed the the prize over seemed a good plan.

Sporting Nerja

The Town Council has been developing ‘sport tourism,’ offering the town’s enviable climate and top-notch sporting facilities, which has attracted elite athletes with the proximity of the London Olympics 2012.

Marina for Nerja?

The Asociación de Empresarios de Nerja (Business Association) has lent its support to the Nerja Town Hall’s call for a marina, which was approved at a Plenary Meeting of the full council in February.

It seems that the search for the missing – and much media covered – Madeleine McCann has hit the headlines again, this time with a request from the Portuguese police to follow up on a Nerja-based clue; they believe that the missing girl could be there.

Banesto vs Frigiliana Parking

The later move to put a pay barrier at the entrance put an end to that – but parking is parking.

The Agencia Española de Protección de Datos has forced the Nerja Town Hall to take down CCTV cameras , which had been installed without the necessary permission in the Jefatura de la Policía Local, on avenida de Pescia
