An elderly citizen was knocked down and killed in Nerja whilst using a pedestrian crossing. The 43-year-old driver of Argentinean nationality was almost double the permitted alcohol limit for driving.

The incident happened just before six in the evening, next to Plaza de La Ermita. This is the second elderly pedestrian that has been knocked over and killed in Nerja this year – the other victim was killed in February on Calle Chaparil.
