Well, thanks to a lot of work, co-ordination and bubble blowing, the great seabed cleaning up operation off Punta de la Mona retrieved over 200 kilos of discarded rubbish, amongst which was a traffic sign, a large lorry tyre, plastic bins, pipes, mirrors and a bucket load of fishing hooks – there was even a part of an electricity generator.

The Town Hall of Almuñécar enlisted the help of Malaga-based divers to retrieve an abandoned fishing net that was lying on the seabed in front of Marina del Este.
Cocaine Find

The Guardia Civil have recovered a package from the sea, just off Punta de la Mona, containing 26 kilos of cocaine.
The find came as a result of a tip-off from someone who said there appeared to be a strange looking package, wedged between rocks, in the shallows just off the Punta.
