The refurbishment project to provide the self-cleaning toilets on Salobreña beach is complete, finishing with new seaside-themed murals that provide not only decoration but also exterior insulation again summer heat.
There have been improvements to the Marina del Este Beach in La Herradura with new facilities added, explained the Councillor for Tourism and Beaches.
Starting last weekend, the lifeguards are on duty along Salobreña beaches. The beaches have also been raked and levelled.
Castell Town Hall installed public toilets on the beach leading up to the Día de Andalucía, bank-holiday weekend – they have since been vandalised.
