La Herradura had its bull-fighting event that had been postponed during the San Jose fiestas to the following weekend.

There was plenty of colour, and whether you agree with bull fighting or not it was an event that attracted many spectators who enjoyed themselves.

Before the event commenced, each participant received a plaque presented by the First Councillor of La Herradura, Juan José Ruiz Joya, on behalf of the Cancer Association (AECC), in gratitude – all proceeds for the event went to this cause.

The dressage show that followed, entitled: El arte de Andalucía a caballo, was hugely popular, too, almost completely filling the temporary bull ring, despite the encroaching but brief rain shower.
