Vegetation in the Riverbeds

The Almuñécar Town Hall has got around to cleaning the hitherto dry riverbeds, as they are overgrown with vegetation that would not only create an obstacle for the water, but would also end up floating just off the beaches should a rush of water appear – which is eminent.

Politicians Accussing Each Other of Being Naughty

The Mayor of Almuñécar’s party, the PP, have denounced the ‘squandering’ allegedly carried out by the previous mayor, Juan Carlos Benavides. According to the PP, the ex-Mayor rewarded his ‘faithful followers’ with trips to some of the towns that are twinned with Almuñécar.

You have from now until the 30th of September to visit the photo exhibition on show at Almuñécar’s Casa de la Cultura! The photos were taken by local photographer, Javier Celorrio, and the exhibition is entitled: La Almuñécar de Celorrio.
