RBL Charity Walk

On Sunday 6th November eighteen members and friends of the Nerja Branch, Royal British Legion took part in a sponsored walk through the town in support of the 2011 Poppy Appeal. Setting off from the Al Andalus Hotel in Maro, the group made their way down to the Balcon de Europa and then on to the Puente restaurant where they enjoyed drinks and tapas.

Discharged But Not Budging

An elderly patient was given a medical discharge from a hospital in Huelva four months ago, but refuses to go home. Furthermore, the hospital-staff union describe him as quite aggressive.

Veil Violence

A man has been found guilty of threatening his wife for refusing to wear a veil in Linares. It was was proved that he continually threatened her for leaving the house without covering her head or simply going out without his permission.

Past Catching Up

A 62-year-old Columbian man has been remanded in custody without bail over a murder committed 18 years ago. The man, Genaro Ramallo, is suspected of having murdered his wife and her son all those years ago on a farm belonging to him, in the province of Huelva

Justice At Last

They were referring to the court sentence handed down by the Regional Supreme Court, (Tribunal Supremo de Justica de Andalucia), in which it recognises that the said doctor, Socorro Ricoy, was victimised at her place of work in the Hospital Virgen de la Nieves after she denounced that the lists were being manipulated in 2008.

Missing Children

The father of two children, Ruth 6 and Jose 2, reported that they had gone missing at a playpark in Cordoba. However, police didn’t believe him from the start, according to the Spanish media, who are collectively making it clear that they don’t either.
