(Metropolitan Granada) Well, that’s how the medical-workers’ union see it: “At last justice has been done over the female doctor that denounced irregularities regarding the waiting lists for operations.”

They were referring to the court sentence handed down by the Regional Supreme Court, (Tribunal Supremo de Justica de Andalucia), in which it recognises that the said doctor, Socorro Ricoy, was victimised at her place of work in the Hospital Virgen de la Nieves after she denounced that the lists were being manipulated in 2008.

Furthermore, the Supreme Court has sentenced the Andalusian Health Board, (Servicio Andaluz de Salud) to return her to her original post and compensate her with 120,000 euros.
