Good Garbage, Bad Garbage

The Salobreña Town Hall have taken a step closer to approving new legislation that will see the new costings to hotels for the removal of their rubbish in 2014 and they are claiming that the amendment to the legislation will benefit 90 percent of the hotels in the town… however, some of the other 10 percent will be paying up to five times what they paid in the current financial year.

Kiddies from the Colegio Público Las Gaviotas in La Herradura had a chance to meet the local firemen, police and Protección Civil volunteers and find out what to do in an emergency.

Farmers Abandon Town Hall Protest

A group of Almuñécar farmers staged a sit-in within the Town Hall in protest over a lack of support following massive crop losses. The sit in, which lasted two days, received much support locally, both from political parties as well as locals.
