The nationwide workers union, CGT, has been holding protest gatherings outside the Salobreña Supersol supermarket.

According to the union, one of the supermarket staff, Antonio Méndez was sacked for refusing to work unpaid overtime: working 60 hours a week whilst the company only declared 40.

Protests outside the supermarket took place on Wednesday the 16th and today, Saturday the 19th. However, the protests are not limited only to the Salobreña Supersol branch, but also outside every branch of this supermarket all over Andalucia, claims the CGT.

The CGT is demanding that the worker is reinstated.
