The Guardia Civil arrested two, middle-aged individuals in Almuñécar, suspected of drug trafficking, after a cocaine was found in their vehicle when stopped at a road check.

This occurred on Wednesday the 26th following the Guardia Civil mounting a routine road-check. When they were pulled the car over, the officers noticed that both occupants were very nervous, or as the Spanish say, “more nervous than a turkey at Christmas.”

So being curious chappies, the officers decided to have a good nose around the vehicle and come up with 812 grammes of cocaine and 4,500 euros in cash. It didn’t take much searching as this was in the glove compartment.

Well, the were arrested on the spot and taken to the Green Meanies’ nick (police cells) in Almuñécar pending appearing before a magistrate, which took place yesterday.
