It seems that we have got tired of letting an octopus predict the winner of a World Cup today because we now have a lemur to do the job…

You might remember that Paul The Octopus, predicted that Spain would win the Europcop 2008 and the World Cup in 2010, so Almuñécar thought if somebody’s pulpo can do the job, why not rope in one of our lemurs in the Loro Sexi bird park?
Enter stage right Julien, the ring-tailed Lemur, who was faced with a choice of two food bowls; one bearing Spanish flag (Viva!) and the other, Argentina’s. After a moment’s doubt, he chose Argentina and is now buried somewhere in the park…. Just kidding; he chose Spain because he knows which side his bread is buttered on.
Did the Spanish bowl have an irresitible ingredients included… quite by accident, or did he undergo a crash course of electric shocks to recognise the Spanish flags? Who knows?
The fact is that Julien the Lemur is up against Fifa’s Florantino, who is arguably as corrupt as Trump because Argentina has been favoured from the very outset by being placed in a group with no serious competition, and not to mention a string of illogical referee decisions in their favour where fouls are concerned in its matches.
