The man thought to have been behind the hill fire in Cenes de la Vega on Thursday was brought before a police court and released pending further investigation and possibly trial.

The 68-year old man is thought to have accidently started the fire as several witnesses claim that they had seen him throwing something down near the entrance to a cave-house moments before flames appeared on the hillside.
Thanks to descriptions given by the eyewitnesses, Seprona were able to identify him and finally track him down for arrested on the streets of Cenes de La Vega.
Although the Guardia Civil initially suspected that the fire had been intentional on his part, the investigation cleared him of being involved in a string of other fires at the beginning of the month in the city of Granada and in the Metropolitan Area.
