Well, it should be of no surprise when you host a vast influx of humanity that a few light-fingered will pop through the doorway; it might sound like something out of Trump’s agenda, but we’re referring to thieves on the Costa Tropical.

The Guardia Civil have been busy arresting individuals in Almuñécar for alleged house burglary whilst the occupants were asleep in their beds – which is just not cricket.

The three gentlemen with a confused sense of property ownership are aged between 28 and 46 and, according the the Green Meanies, forced entry into a dwelling in the early hours of the 6th of July.

The occupants had left the door to a large balcony partially opened and lowered its persian blind. As they were on the upstair floor of the dwelling, the expected no unwanted visitors other than mosquitos.

Well, unless the mosquitos had developed heavy-lift capacity, somebody had evidently paid a visit because upon getting up, there were their mobile phones and other personal effects…. gone!

They straight away reported the burglary to the Guardía Civil who came round, gave the crime scene a good going over with their collective eyeballs, the decided where the point of entry was and that the burglars had left over the roofs of neighbouring housing

Well, it turns out that the alleged thieves were staying in a neighbouring dwelling and tht one of the victims had recognised a phone belonging to him in the hands of a neighbour.

The Green Meanies, having obtained a search warrant, found several stolen items in the house where the suspects were staying. The officers invited them to try on their new regulation handcuffs and enjoy a ride in a police car.
