The Guardia Civil in Almuñécar arrested a couple in their 40s, accused of several crimes between May the 25th and the 30th.
The police began to look into a string of incidents at hospitality establishments, tourist accommodations, as well as a private home, all featuring similar characteristics.

Examining CCTV footage from the locations of these incidents, the police identified a 45-year-old man and a 42-year-old woman present in the examined images.
The first incident took place on the 25th, when the arrested man took advantage of an oversight to steal 220 euros from the cash register of a local café.
Two days later, the same individual committed another theft at a mesón, where he seized 1,200 euros in cash; again, choosing a moment when the staff were distracted.
Then on the 28th, the female suspect entered a restaurant through a garage door and stole, 60 euros in cash, and a bottle of spirits valued at 15 euros.
The following day, two more acts of theft took place: the male suspect stole a purse containing personal documents, 20 euros in cash, and a bank card through the open window of a bungalow. He subsequently used that card to make purchases at a nearby shop, which was caught on CCTV.
Acting independently, the woman committed a burglary at a hostal. After forcing open the window blinds and the access door, she managed to enter the establishment and steal a cash register containing cash alongside several bottles of spirits.
The police investigation established where the couple were living and commenced a stake out to follow them. The arrest took place when the couple were caught red-handed breaking into a caravan via its skylight.
The value of the stolen items amounts to 1,784 euros, while the damage caused brings the total economic loss to 2,089 euros.
After appearing at a police court and being charged with burglary, theft, fraud, trespassing, and property damage, they were released on bail pending trial.
