A mother told her 27-year-old son off for still being in bed at 19.15h on Sunday afternoon. His response was punch her in the face and push her to the ground. As a result, he was arrested.

The Policía Local of Delicias (near Valladolid) received a call and went to the address they had been given. As they arrived a young man, visibly nervous, was trying to enter the building without a key so they stopped him and asked him for his ID.

His ID showed his address as that of the flat where they had been called out to, so they detained him until they could speak to his 51-year-old mother.

They found her trying to stop her nose from bleeding as she explained that her son had assaulted her and after had left hurriedly on his scooter.

Consequently, the young man was arrested (during which he threatened them) for an alleged crime of domestic violence and the mother was taken to a Centro de Salud for evaluation, as per protocol.
